01/26/2013 - College PREP - Jackson, MS A'breana is a steady left hand hitting OF from the 2014 class. Defensively, she has soft, sure hands, active feet and works to play through. She is vocal, has a solid crow hop/power step and will benefit from keeping her feet in line to her target while throwing. Working behind fly balls and long toss are two areas that will make her a more complete defender. At the plate, A'breana uses an open set up with a level path through the zone. She gets good extension, drives the ball and maintains her bat angle throughout her swing, which makes her a consistent threat to opposing defenses. She has a solid bunt/slap game which she also uses to keep teams guessing and she is constantly finding a way on base. Overall, A'breana is a well-balanced player with two more years to get stronger and develop her tools.
