She maintains a quiet head, tracking pitches into the zone and off of her barrel. Swing is level as she connects and sprays line-drives all over the field. Behind the dish, she sits in well and tracks pitches into a soft mitt. He moves well laterally and works to center/deaden pitches in the dirt, keeping the ball in front. Transfer is clean with strong/accurate throws down to 2B - pop times at 1.98. Bates is a talented catching prospect who should find success in this her junior year.
