02/11/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Corpus Christi, TX Abby is a 2024 right handed pitcher and first baseman with a developing skill set. On the mound, she has a calm presence and good control on her fast ball. She extends through well on her release and keeps an open hip direction. She stays controlled through her finish and has proper mechanics with her pitches. At first base, Abby needs to focus on being more aggressive to the ball and not fielding so deep into her body. If she works on those components of her defense she will start to field the ball more cleanly and take better angels to ensure she keeps the ball in front. Offensively, she has a square set up and a short stride in the box. She has good hand eye coordination and is aggressive in the box. She makes hard contact and keeps her hands inside of the ball. Overall, Abby has good work ethic and if she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
