06/03/2021 - Softball Factory College World Series - Prospects Select Training Abigail is a talented 2025 3B that attended the College World Series Select Training Event. She has a strong arm at 3B, and makes accurate throws. She does a great job of diving for balls and made one of the best plays at the event! Something for her to work on is a quicker first step and attacking the ball more. Also, if she can work on fielding the ball out in front more with softer hands she will be more successful. Hitting wise, Abigail has a good setup in the box and stays controlled. She makes hard contact at the plate. If she can work on driving her lower half more, she will be stronger and more powerful. Also if she can work on quicker bat speed and better timing she will be more successful. Abigail was great to work with and has a ton of potential with the game!
03/21/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Abigail is a lean 3B who has a promising future on the field. At 3B, she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as she works around balls and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Feet are quick as she moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, she shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (62 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She shows a feel for the barrel stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 4 years to further develop, Abigail has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress her game.
