04/06/2014 - College PREP - Scranton, PA Alanna is an evolving SS with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she has an accurate arm and fields using soft, sure hands. Working on fluid footwork, routes to backhand/forehand and staying down and through the ball will improve range and efficiency. Overall, Alanna has a confident approach to playing defense. As a hitter, she aggressively makes hard contact. She shows good power and will benefit from implementing a stride and load, driving the hands through the zone and utilizing the lower half to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Alanna has a good frame for the position and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
