06/19/2018 - College PREP - Orange, CA Alexis is a 2021 right handed pitcher with a developing skill set. On the mound, she has a calm presence and extends through well on her release. She keeps an open hip direction and is athletic in her balance. She has a controlled finish and smooth mechanics through her pitching motion. She needs to work on not slowing down her arm speed on her change up so that hitters can't pitch up on when it is coming. She has proper mechanics and spin on each pitch and works the corners well. Offensively, she has a tall set up in the box and a square stride to the ball. She is smooth in her rhythm and center in her balance. Her hips and hands work well together and she has fast hands through the zone. She makes consistent contact and drives the ball to all sides of the field. Overall, Alexis works hard and will do what it takes to play at the next level.
