10/20/2013 - College PREP - Raleigh, NC Alexis is a R/R 3B from the 2014 class. Defensively, she sees the ball into the glove well, plays with high energy and uses her feet pretty well to both field and throw. She has an accurate throwing arm with life out of the hand and will benefit from playing lower while working from the ground up, bending at the knees instead of the waist and quickening her release to take full advantage of her strong arm. At the plate, Alexis uses a square set up with a back load, no stride and has a level path through the zone. She hits the ball hard to the pull side and will better access the entire field as she sees the ball deeper into the zone, improving her point of contact. She flashes pop and should continue to work at staying through the ball to see more consistent results. Overall, Alexis plays the game hard and should continue to seek quality instruction and reps to ensure her full potential is reached.
