12/27/2013 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Alexis is a small and athletic freshman centerfielder / second baseman and slaps from the left side of the plate. Defensively, Alexis has an athletic fielding position with sure hands. She takes good angles to the ball and hustles everywhere she goes. By working on her arm strength and accuracy, Alexis will become a better well-rounded fielder. Offensively, Alexis uses a square setup with stable balance to make a positive move to the ball. Alexis maintains good bat angle, but by staying inside the ball she will be able to focus on hitting the ball to the left side of the field more frequently. Alexis is also a successful bunter, and by adjusting her bat angle she will become a threat as a drag bunter as well. Overall, Alexis is a quick and athletic, coachable player that will continue to grow and develop.
10/06/2013 - College PREP - Scranton, PA Alexis is a talented OF with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, she fields with sure hands, makes good throws and moves her feet well to various balls. Working on moving through flyballs will help to improve velocity when making throws on the play. Overall, Alexis is aggressive and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses a square set up with a back load, a short stride, and keeps her balance centered before launching to the ball with a short swing. She shows good power and will benefit from driving the hands through the zone to improve contact, ultimately, allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Alexis has a good frame for the position at 5'1 and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
