03/24/2013 - College PREP - Rochester, NY Alivia is a very talented young SS with advanced feel on both sides of the ball. Defensively, she has soft, sure hands with solid arm strength that produces accurate results. She uses her feet well showing fluid footwork, agile range to both sides and will benefit from playing lower at the hips and implementing a consistent pre-pitch prep step. She has a good glove to hand transfer and will be able to shorten her arm stroke without sacrificing velocity as she matures and gets stronger. At the plate, Alivia uses a square set up with a back load, short stride, keeps her weight centered and has a short aggressive path to the ball. She has pop, generates quick bat speeds and will enjoy more power production as she uses her lower half more aggressively on every swing. She has an above average bunt game as well which she uses to keep opposing teams under pressure and out of position. Overall, Alivia has a ton of potential and should continue to play hard, seek quality instruction/reps to grow and most importantly have fun!
