12/02/2012 - College PREP - Tampa, FL Alyson is an extremely talented young player with an advanced feel for the game. Defensively, she has soft, sure hands with active feet and fluid footwork. She displays a strong arm that produces accurate results with carry, and should continue to work at playing from the ground up with early glove position on the ground. She uses her feet well to throw and has a very good understanding of the 2B position and its responsibilities. She will benefit from eliminating her tendency to flip her glove into the fielding position and can do so by presenting her glove early and keeping her pocket exposed at all times. At the plate, Alyson uses an open stance with a back load, short stride and keeps her balance centered before launching her short swing to the ball. An aggressive hitter, she consistently hits the ball hard and simply needs to keep her head on the ball and continue to work on getting her hands extended through the zone to improve power production. Overall, Alyson has an extremely high ceiling and plays the game the right way. She should continue to seek quality reps and instruction to continue developing ahead of schedule.
