12/27/2014 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Alyssa is a 2019 catcher / first baseman that continues to develop her skill set. Defensively, Alyssa has an athletic setup behind the plate. She has a good transfer and makes accurate throws across the diamond. Alyssa has proper throw down footwork and gains ground towards her target. By working to get lower in her squat and to stick the screwball out in front of her body, Alyssa will improve her framing skill set. Offensively, Alyssa uses a square setup and stride to make a positive move to the ball. She takes a direct path to contact and makes contact with a level bat angle. Alyssa does a good job of using her hips and hands to generate force through the ball. She has good bat speed, stays through the ball, and gets to extension. Overall, Alyssa is a hard worker that will continue to grow and develop.
