02/09/2014 - College PREP - Sacramento, CA Alyssa is a junior second baseman with a developing skill set. Defensively, Alyssa has sure hands and fields the ball out in front. She has a consistently accurate arm when throwing to the bags. By working on staying low and moving through the ball, Alyssa will be able to field more efficiently. Offensively, Alyssa uses a square setup with a backwards load and short stride to make a positive move to the ball. She has a short swing path and maintains centered balance through contact. In the box, Alyssa is an aggressive hitter with quick bat speed and makes hard contact. Alyssa will benefit from staying inside the ball and getting to the extension position. Overall, Alyssa is a hard worker that will continue to develop as a player.
