07/21/2014 - Factory Development Institute National Select Program Amanda is an evolving C with a well balanced skill set. Behind the plate, she works hard to command the field. Continuing to work on an athletically sound set up, a quicker release, and receiving skills will help to improve position efficiency. Overall, she is eager to become a better catcher and makes adjustments quickly. As a hitter, she keeps her hands back and balance centered before producing contact. She shows potential for power and will benefit from an explosive lower half, quicker bat speed, and timing to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field more effectively. Overall, Amanda has a good frame for the position and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
