10/20/2013 - College PREP - Raleigh, NC Amber is a talented SS with a well-balanced skill set on both sides of the ball. Defensively, she keeps her feet active pre-pitch, charges the ball aggressively but under control and shows both good footwork and a quick release on the double play. She understands playing through the ball and should continue to work on playing lower and fielding the ball further out front and left of center. At the plate, Amber uses a square set up with no load a short stride and keeps her balance centered before launching her short swing through the zone. She has a level path through the zone and has an above average bunt game which she uses to keep opposing defenses of balance and out of position. Overall, Amber needs to keep playing hard while having fun and remain detailed in her preparation to ensure she reaches her full potential.
