09/08/2013 - College PREP - Medfield (Boston), MA Amy is a sure handed OF with a quick release and soft hands. She uses her feet well to help her square her shoulders to throw and should continue to work on fielding the ball off of her glove side foot to allow her to aggressively play through the ball. Playing lower will help her to improve and already impressive first step off the bat and will maximize the ground she can cover. At the plate, Amy uses a square set up with no load or stride and keeps her weight centered before launching her hands through the zone. She will enjoy added power as she incorporates her lower half and will benefit from keeping her hands through contact to improve extension through the zone. She can spray the ball to all fields through a deep point of contact which she consistently displays with foul pole to foul pole results.
04/14/2013 - College PREP - Marlborough (Boston), MA Amy is a developing athlete. As an OF, she has an accurate arm, fluid footwork, polished glovework, agile range, and plays through the ball. Focusing on a quick transfer and gaining ground on the powerline will increase velocity and fielding success. As a RHP, she has decent mound presence, pitchability, and athleticism. Focusing on leg drive, body awareness, and a smooth rhythm will increase velocity and pitch movement on the mound. As a hitter, she has a square, balanced set up and produces hard contact. Focusing on a stride and load, a short bat path, driving the hands through the zone will increase power and consistency to all hitting fields. With implementation of recommendations, Amy will be on track for collegiate attention.
