05/30/2013 - College World Series Select Training Angelica continues to develop her skill set as a middle infielder and overall athlete. In the field, she has an athletic pre-pitch position, quick footwork and pivots, and provides clean double play feeds when fielding. Continuing to focus on quick transfers, arm slot and footwork will increase arm strength, velocity and accuracy. As a hitter, Angelica has an athletic approach with good presence and potential at the plate. Continuing to focus on a stride and load, driving her hands through the zone, and utilizing the lower half will increase power and consistency. Implementing a strength and conditioning program will increase agility, athleticism, and endurance. With continued application of recommendations, Angelica will be on track for seeking collegiate attention.
02/03/2013 - College PREP - San Diego, CA Angelica is a developing athlete. As a 2B, she has an average arm slot, keeps head on ball when fielding (looks it in), and has decent range to both sides (gets to ball). Focus on fluid footwork (awkward and unnecessary stops/movement) and implementing a throwing routine to increase accuracy (pushes throw) will continue to enhance her skill set. As a hitter, she has a short bat path, square, balanced set up, good extension and bat angle, and produces hard, consistent contact to all playing fields. Focus on keeping hands up and level on load (drops hands) and staying inside the ball and utilizing the lower half (inconsistent backside) will increase her efficiency and power numbers as a hitter. As Angelica continues to develop and mature through application and experience, her skill set will flourish and keep her on track for collegiate attention.
