01/14/2022 - 2022 Softball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Anya is a 2027 RHP and third baseman. She hits her spots and limits walks. Anya is composed and is a leader on the field. She is a great teammate and is very coachable. She has a smooth motion. She keeps the ball low in the zone. Improving her strength and mechanics will increase her velocity and effectiveness on the mound. In the box, Anya produces hard contact and has power potential with a firm fromt side. Working on timing and quiet feet during the pitch will help Anya step up her game. Overall, Anya hustles and has the skill set and tools to continue improving her game on the diamond.
01/15/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Anya is Softball Factory Veteran whose hard work has earned her Softball Factory Rookie Pre Season honors. Our coaching staff loves the positive energy and strong work ethic that Anya brings to events. On the mound, Anya has a composed presence. She is a finesse pitcher and doesn’t not give up during tough at bats. She works to generate ground ball outs for defense. In the box, Anya shows good zone awareness. She is able to work deep in the count is able to draw the walk. She hustles down the line and forces defenses to rush and make errors. Overall, Anya is a dedicated player and we look forward to seeing her game continue to develop.
12/27/2020 - Softball Factory Christmas Select Training - Futures Anya is a solid, athletic RHP/3B who has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as she works around balls and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. She moves well laterally with range improving as she increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, she shows an open setup. Hands are quick (and work to and through a level swing path. She shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes her lower half more efficiently. On the mound, she shows a repeatable delivery, allowing her arm action to work loose to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 41-42 mph with tight spin. Curveball sits 36-37 mph with late action. Screwball sits 40-41 mph with late action. With 7 years to further develop, Anya has a lot of potential with time and room to progress her game.
12/27/2019 - Softball Factory Christmas Select Training (Futures) Anya Chernich is a 2027 utility player who is coachable, works hard, and has a great attitude. Defensively, Anya fields from an athletic position and has good lateral range. She is agile and has the ability to get behind the ball to come through it. Her throw is fluid and she gets rid of it quickly when throwing to bases. Offensively, she has a square setup and is centered when she strides. Anya has a solid barrel path through the zone and has a great eye for the zone. By using her lower half it will allow her to increase her overall power production with each swing. With her continued hard work, she has the potential to be a great player.
