06/22/2015 - Softball Factory World Series Arleene is a 2016 SS who hits from the right side. In the box Arleene uses a square stance with good balance and on time rhythm. She has an activated load, takes a direct route to the ball and works to extend through contact. She generates good bat speed and is able to generate some power. Arleene sees the ball deep into the hitting zone and is a consistent line drive hitter who is also able to work the gaps. Creating more separation in her swing will allow Arleene to be a consistent gap-to-gap hitter. Defensively Arleene is an athletic player that is always looking to learn more about her position. She has a good pre pitch approach to the ball and uses the proper footwork to take good angles. She plays through the ball to gain momentum to her target. Presenting her glove sooner and pushing out to make her transfer will allow Arleene to make a quicker transfer. Overall Arleene is a hard working player and with continued reps and exposure she will have the opportunity to play at the collegiate level.
