11/03/2013 - College PREP - Mobile, AL Ashley is an evolving 2B and OF with a young skill set. As a 2B and OF, she keeps the ball in front and will lay out without hesitation for various balls. Working on staying down and through the ball will help her to stay fluid with her footwork. Overall, Ashley shows good effort and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses a square, closed set up and keeps her balance centered before making contact. She shows potential for power and will benefit from driving the hands quickly through the zone to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Ashley has a good frame for the positions and has athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
