06/11/2018 - College PREP - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Ashley is a 2021 two-way player as a 2B/C. In the box, Ashley is a RHH that uses a square stance with centered balance and a short stride. She creates fluid rhythm with a back load. She does a nice job of extending through contact and is a line drive hitter. Working to create more leg drive will allow her to see an increase in her power production. At 2B, Ashley is an agile player with quick footwork. She stays low through the play, makes a clean transfer and makes accurate throws with carry. She is smooth to her backhand and has a good feel for the double play. Behind the plate, Ashley has a good presence. She has quiet hands, looks the ball in and frames well. She reads the ball in the dirt and does a nice job of getting over top on the block. Working to throw through her target will allow her to see an increase in her arm strength. Overall, Ashley is an athletic player with the tools needed to play at the collegiate level.
