11/18/2012 - College PREP - Atlanta, GA Ashley is an athletic two way player from the 2015 class. As an OF, she is a sure handed defender with fluid footwork and agile range. She plays thru the ball well and should continue to work on following her throws with her feet while taking better angles to the ball, making her more effective overall. As a RHP, she features a quick arm swing with backward hand position and uses a wide stance with smooth rhythm/tempo throughout her delivery. She will improve movement and velocity as she continues to mature and should continue to focus on throwing strikes while changing speeds. At the plate, Ashley uses an open stance with a bat wrap load, a short stride and keeps her balance centered before launching her short swing to the ball. A Slap hitter, she needs to keep her bat path level and maintain control of her swing at all times with solid barrel accuracy to be more effective. She flashes pop at times and keeps her front side on the ball well, but should continue to work on improving bat speed to improve overall quality of contact.
