04/09/2017 - College PREP - Manheim (Harrisburg), PA Ashley is a 2018 RHP/1B with a strong skill set. Defensively, Ashley is fluid with her footwork and has good range in all directions. She presents her glove well and displays great potential. Ashley has a clean exchange to throw with fluid arm action and makes accurate, on-line throws to her targets. In the circle, Ashley has a confident presence on the mound and extends well through her release. She is athletic with her balance, controlled with her mechanics, and stays tall with her finish. Ashley mixes her drop-curve and her screw to keep hitters off balance at the plate. She also has a flip change for a good mix of speed to keep hitters on their toes. Offensively, Ashley is athletic in her stance and takes a soft stride to contact. She loads well in her legs and stays fluid with her rhythm to contact. Ashley stays balanced throughout her swing and works together with her hips/hands. She has fast bat speed to contact, makes hard contact, and works well up the middle of the field. Overall, Ashley is a great athlete in all areas that will continue to improve on what is needed to play at the next level.
