08/05/2018 - College PREP - Albany, NY Ava is a 2022 two-way player a OF/2B. In the box, Ava is a RHH that uses a square stance with an on-time stride. She loads her hands back and creates smooth rhythm. She has an aggressive approach and consistently puts the ball in play. Working to be direct with her hands will allow her to stay inside the ball and extend through contact. In the OF, Ava reads the ball well and has fluid footwork. She has a good approach to the line drive and works to use a crow hop. She makes a clean transfer and makes accurate throws. Working to be fluid with her arm action will allow her to see more carry. At 2B, Ava is a confident player. She has a good pre pitch approach and shows good range. She presents her glove on time, uses the proper arm slot and makes accurate throws. Working on her double play footwork and timing will round out her skill set. Overall, Ava is an athletic player that will continue to develop with the proper coaching.
