06/25/2021 - Softball Factory All-State Tournament Ava is a 2025 graduate who pitches and hits from the right side of the plate. In the box, Ava has an exit velocity of 63MPH. She has an on-plane swing with a fast bat and strong lower half. She sits well on the changeups but could use more extension for maximum power. On defense, she makes good accurate throws but could have more range. On the mound, Ava throws hard for her age consistently hitting 57-59MPH and hit 61MPH with her fastball. She has great speed and spin but changeup needs to be more consistent to help keep hitters off balance. Ava has strong D1 potential and also has the skill set and tools to further develop her game and one day compete at the next level.
07/04/2019 - International Cup Futures Training Ava returns to another Factory event improving and impressing with her strong skills in the box and in the circle. She is super athletic and has positive body language at all times. In the circle, she is calm and has great body control in her pitching motion. She is fluid in her arm circle and stays loose through her mechanics. She creates tight wrist action and hits her spots well. Offensively, Ava is relaxed in her set up and comfortable in her hands. She activates her lower half well through her swing and produces hard contact to all parts of the field. Overall, Ava is a great kid to coach and adjusts well when needed.
06/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Ava returns to another Softball Factory event displaying her active feet in the infield and her ability to create range in her game. She moves well to the ball and has quick action to the ball. She keeps her throws on line to her target and is sure in her glove. In the circle, she is calm and drives well off of the mound in her lower half to create solid velocity behind her pitches. She is controlled in her motion and smooth in her mechanics. Offensively, she is athletic and has great barrel control. She stays center in her balance and hits the ball hard to her pull side. Overall, Ava hustles hard and is very coachable.
06/11/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Ava is a 2025 RHP with a developing skill set. On the mound, Ava has a calm presence with good balance and a fluid arm action. She creates the correct spin on her change up and is confident to throw it as a strike. Working to increase her arm speed and creating more leg drive will allow her to see an increase in her velocity. In the box, Ava is RHH that uses a square stance with a short stride and centered balance. She works to make consistent contact and is a spray hitter. Working to create a weight transfer in her swing will allow her to generate more momentum to the ball. Overall, Ava is a young player and with continued coaching she will see improvements to her skill set.
