She creates smooth rhythm with a back load and short, soft stride. She does a nice job of staying inside the ball and shows line drive power. Working to keep her lower half engaged will allow her to see more power. At 1B, Ava handles the routine play well. She fields out in front and makes a clean transfer. She gets in line with her target and makes accurate throws. Working to stay low in her approach will help her the back hand transition. On the mound, Ava works with a fast ball and change up combo. She has a confident presence and shows controlled mechanics. Working on her leg drive and finish will help her to continue to develop her pitches. Overall, Ava is a young, coachable player that will continue to develop her skill set.
