Avari has active feet, clean gather off her left foot, and creates good angles to the ball. At 2B, Avari tracks the ball to the glove, keeps the ball in front, and makes routine plays. In the box, she consistently makes hard contact and gets extended. She continues to show strides of reaching her full potential. Overall, Avari has a solid set of skills on the diamond.
01/14/2022 - 2022 Softball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Avari is a 2026 graduate out of Corpus Christi, TX who slaps and plays outfield and 2B. She brings energy and is engaged. She has efficient footwork. In the box, Avari has a short stride and spray hits. Working on not stepping out and getting inside the ball will increase her effectiveness at the plate. Getting behind the ball and working through it as well as more lower half explosiveness will help Avari step up her game. Overall, Avari possesses the skill set and tools to continue improving her game on the dirt.
01/15/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Avari earns top honors as a Softball Factory Rookie Pre Season All American. Throughout the event she proved to be a team player with a very coachable demeanor. In the box, Avari is a RHH that uses a square stance with a short stride. She has an aggressive approach and is able to fight through tough at bats. She consistently puts the ball in play. Working to extend through contact more will allow her to see more power production. In the OF, Avari is an athletic player. She shows good footwork and creates good angles. She works to get the ball in quickly and makes confident throws. Playing through the ball more will allow her to generate more momentum to her target. Overall, Avari has a clear passion for the game and we look forward to seeing her at more events.
10/18/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - San Antonio, TX Avari is an athletic OF/SS prospect who will graduate in 2026. In the field, Avari makes the routine plays and works to keep her throws accurate to her target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Avari field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in a tall stance and takes her stride on time. She works to barrel up the softball and uses the entire field well. Avari can be more controlled throughout her swing by developing a smoother load. With six more years to develop, Avari has the time and potential to further progress her skills on the field.
