07/31/2018 - College PREP - Caledonia, MS Avery is a 2021 OF with a solid bat. In the box, Avery uses a square stance with a short stride and centered balance. She creates fluid rhythm with a black load. She generates fast bat speed, makes hard, consistent contact and shows gap power. She is a consistent hitter and is able to hot to all fields. Working to extend through contact more will allow her to see more power production. In the OF, Avery has a good pre-pitch approach. She reads the ball well and takes good angles. She does a nice job of keeping the ball low. Working to stay low on the ground ball will help her to play through more. Overall, Avery is an athletic player with the tools needed to play at the next level.
