At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as she attacks ball and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and she presents well out front. Throws are accurate, flashing with carry (59 mph velocity) across the diamond. Range is a plus as she moves well laterally and covers ground. At the plate, she continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (65 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. She makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach, spraying the ball to all fields with gap-to-gap pop. With 4 years to further develop, Ayanna has potential with time and room to improve her game.
