01/14/2022 - 2022 Softball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Bailey has a good first step while playing 2B. She brings energy and is engaged. In the box, Bailey is aggressive and makes hard contact with an exit velocity of 68MPH. Improving her glovework and extension in the box will help Bailey take her game to the next level. Overall, Bailey looked comfortable behind the dish, and she possesses the skills to continue improving her game on the diamond.
12/18/2020 - Softball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Bailey continues to show as a prospect on the field with improvements in her softball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential is now outstanding through a squared setup. Hands are quick (69 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. She has strength in her swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. At 2B, she displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as she displays proper footwork as she works to square ground balls up and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry (56 mph velocity) to her target. She moves well laterally (2.93 20 time) and moves well laterally, covering a lot of ground. Behind the dish, she presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. She uses her body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner and improve her lateral movements. Pop times showed in the range of 2.12 with accuracy to her target. Times will continue to drop as she builds more arm strength through a long toss program.
11/18/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Softball Factory Fall Classic - 16U Bailey is an athletic 2B who has a solid all-around skill-set. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (67 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. She has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball with gap-to-gap pop. At 2B, defensive abilities are solid as she displays smooth / easy actions. Feet are active as she attacks ball and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and she presents well out front. Throws are accurate with on line carry (57 mph velocity) to her target. Range is a plus as she moves well laterally and covers ground. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable, plays with a lot of energy, and works hard to be the best player she can be. With 3 years to further develop, Bailey has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with her abilities.
03/01/2020 - College PREP - Indianapolis, IN Bailey is a 2023 two-way player as a 2B/C. In the box, Bailey is a RHH that uses a open stance. She creates good rhythm with her stride and load. She generates fast bat speed and makes hard contact. Working to keep her weight back longer, will allow her to be on time with contact and see an increase in her gap production. At 2B, Bailey is ready for the ball to come her way. She presents her glove and looks the ball in. She works to get in line with her target and makes accurate throws. Presenting her glove sooner and playing through the ball will allow her to generate more momentum to her target. Behind the plate, Bailey works hard every pitch. She presents her target, looks the ball in and works to frame the zone. She reads the ball in the dirt and is ready to block. Working to make a quick transfer and gaining ground to her target will allow her to see more carry on her throws. Overall, Bailey is a young player that will continue to improve her skill set.
