07/31/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Caledonia, MS Blayne is a 2024 two-way player as a 3B/RHP. In the box, Blayne is a RHH that uses a square stance with a short stride and centered balance. She generates fluid rhythm with a back load. She generates fast bat speed, makes hard contact and shows gap power. Blayne has a middle of the field approach and makes consistent contact. Working on her point of contact with the inside pitch will allow her to round out her approach. At 3B, Blayne is an athletic player. She has a good pre-pitch approach and has fluid footwork. She presents her glove on time and handles the routine play. Working to stay low through the ball will allow her to generate more momentum to her target. On the mound, Blayne has a calm and confident presence. She uses a 4-pitch package that includes a change up with late movement. She works in the mid 50's and works to control the zone. Working to have a fluid arm action will allow her to be loose through release and create more movement on the ball. Overall, Blayne is an athletic player that will continue to take her skill set to the next level.
