11/17/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Fall Classic - 18U Breanna is a 2023 graduate who pitches and plays 1B. She moves well and makes routine plays. She make accurate throws and tracks the ball well. In the box, she has power potential and an exit velocity of 70MPH. On the mound, Breanna attacks hitters and has a good curve ball. Improving her leg drive will increase her spin and effectiveness on the mound. Overall, she has the skill set and tools to continue improving her game on the diamond.
03/28/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Minneapolis, MN Breanna is a 2023 RHP/1B that has continued to show improvement at each event she attends with Softball Factory. On the mound Breanna has increased her FB velocity to 54 MPH while also showing more improvement and control. She also showcased her rise, curve and drop each showing good control with her drop being her best breaking pitch. At 1B she shows she has what it takes to keep her bat in the line up when she is not on the mound. she did a great job making the routine plays making accurate on line throws while also having great DP footwork. At the plate Breanna has a nice smooth and powerful swing. Her continued improvement shows she is very coachable and a hard working athlete.
01/15/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Breanna is a RHP prospect who showcased her skills during the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the circle, Breanna shows a three pitch mix with her fastball topping out at 53mph. Dropball sits at 51mph. Curveball sits at 52mph. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. She gets into a small load and drives through well with her lower half. She works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and strong line drives. Overall, Breanna is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon her skills on the field.
11/18/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Softball Factory Fall Classic - 16U Breanna is an athletic RHP/1B who has a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, she shows a repeatable delivery, allowing her arm action to work loose to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 52-55 mph. Curveball sits 52-53 mph. Drop ball sits 51-52 mph. She can dominate hitters as she throws strikes with all her pitches. At 1B, she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as she attacks ball and works around to play through with her body. Glove action is clean and she presents well out front. At the plate, she shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (70 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. She makes consistent contact through a line drive approach utilizing the middle of the field well. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable, plays with a lot of energy, and works hard to be the best player she can be. With 3 years to further develop, Breanna has potential with time and room to progress her game.
01/17/2020 - 2020 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Breanna is a tall RHP prospect who showed well at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the circle, Breanna shows good feel for pitching with good poise. She is aggressive attacking the ball and gets ahead in the count. She possesses a plus K pitch and shows the ability to put hitters away. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. Her hips and hands work well together and she produces loud contact and good raw power. Overall, Breanna is a talented prospect who should find success going into her freshman season.
10/27/2019 - College PREP - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Breanna Kinney is a 2023 RHP and second basemen with a developed skill set. In the circle, Breanna has a confident presence and good control. She extends well through her release and has an open hip direction. She is balanced and her arm action free. She has the ability to mix speeds and keeps batters on their toes. At first base, Breanna has active feet and a square fielding position. She presents her hands well to the ball and has a clean exchange. She makes every routine play and has an accurate throw to her target. Offensively, Breanna has a square setup and on-time stride to the ball. She loads back well into her lower half and has smooth rhythm. Her barrel is fast through the zone and she is able to make hard contact consistently.
07/31/2019 - Softball Factory World Series - Prospects Breanna continues to show up and impress with her strong skill set and ability to adjust when needed. In the circle, she has a calm presence and attacks hitters early. She works well with her catchers and communicates well with her defense. She is controlled in her mechanics but needs to work on driving towards the plate rather than falling off to the side so that she can create maximum velocity towards the strike zone. Offensively, she is tall in her stance and on plane with her barrel. She shows power to her pull side and finds a way on base for her team.
05/30/2019 - Softball Factory College World Series - Prospects Select Training Breanna returns to another Softball Factory event displaying her developing skill set in the circle and in the batters box. On the mound, Breanna is calm and has good feel for her pithes. She stays composed and is aggressive when going after hitters. She extends through well on her release and keeps an open hip direction. She has good arm speed and hits her spots well. Offensively, she has a square set up in the box and loose hands through the zone. She is controlled in her rhythm and makes hard contact in the gaps. She works the count each time and battles every single pitch.
11/08/2018 - Softball Factory Select Training & Competition at Historic Dodgertown (Grad Years 2019-2023) Breanna returns for the Softball Factory Select Training & Competition at Historic Dodgertown. Breanna is a RHP that shows good poise on the mound. She creates good spin on the ball and is able to control the zone. Her drop ball and change up are two pitches that she is confident to throw deep in the count. Working to keep her arm circle tight and engaging her lower half more will allow her to see more velocity and break in her pitches. In the box, Breanna is a RHH that uses a square stance with centered balance. She loads her hands back, is short to the ball and generates fast bat speed. She is a line drive hitter and shows power potential. Overall, Breanna is a hard working player and with continued coaching she will be able to take her game to the next level.
08/18/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Sioux Falls, SD Breanna is a 2023 right handed pitcher and first baseman with a strong skill set. Defensively, she has active feet and good momentum through each play. She shows good arm strength behind her throws to her target and stays low through the ball. By focusing on fielding more out in front of her body she will start to create smoother motion as she fields the ball. In the circle, she has a confident presence and keeps an open hip direction through her mechanics. She stays tall in her finish and shows proper spin on each of her pitches. Offensively, she has a tall set up in the box and a soft stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and stays smooth through the zone with her hand path. She squares up the ball consistently and shows the ability to drive the ball to all sides of the field. Overall, Breanna has great work ethic and will do what it takes to take her game to the next level.
