Behind the plate, Briana is a positive catcher that communicates with her pitcher. She has sure hands and an accurate arm. Briana blocks the ball well when she needs to and can move well behind the plate. By working on her footwork, Briana will be able to field the ball quicker and move side to side like she needs to. While playing third base, Briana exudes confidence with her pre pitch set up and footwork. She has sure hands with a quick release and accurate arm. She has agile range and fields the ball out in front correctly. By getting into her ready throwing position after fielding the ball, Briana will look more athletic and natural. Offensively, Briana has an open setup with a backwards load and square stride while making a positive move to the ball. She maintains centered balance and makes consistent contact to all sides of the field. By incorporating the use of the lower half, Briana will increase her power numbers and see more pop off her bat. Overall, Briana is a young talented player that will continue to grow and develop.
