06/24/2013 - Softball Factory World Series Brooke continues to develop as an athlete. Her eagerness to learn and make adjustments sets a tone on the field. As a RHP, she has a basic fundamental skill set on the mound. Continuing to focus on establishing routines and fundamentals such as leg drive, arm action, hip action, spins and snaps, and release will increase accuracy, movement, and velocity. As a 1B, she has a good presentation and active footwork. Continuing to focus on confident glovework, quick footwork, and routes to various balls will increase range and efficiency. As a hitter, she has a basic skill set that produces hard contact. Continuing to focus on a stride and load, driving the hands through the hitting zone, and utilizing the lower half will increase power and efficiency. Implementing a strength and conditioning program will increase speed, agility, power, body awareness, and coordination. As Brooke continues to develop and mature through application and experience, she will be on track for seeking collegiate attention.
03/24/2013 - College PREP - Rochester, NY Brooke is a steadily developing RHP from the 2015 class. In the circle, she features a full arm swing with forward hand position in an athletic stance with smooth rhythm/tempo throughout her delivery. She has a slight recoil in her finish and should work to complete her finish while keeping good direction and staying in line. She pitches to contact, throws strikes and has some feel for changing speeds and keeping hitters off balance. At the plate, Brooke uses a square set up with a back load, short stride and keeps her balance centered before launching to the ball. Long at times, her swing recovers to produce hard contact to all fields and will do so more consistently if shortened. Brooke is an aggressive hitter and will see improvements to her power production and overall quality of contact if she keeps her front side on the ball longer, eliminating her tendency to bail out at times. She has a solid approach at the plate, handles the bat well and has a natural feel for barrel accuracy which will help her to consistently progress at the plate. Overall, Brooke is a nice player and with hard work and added strength could put herself in a position to receive collegiate attention in the future.
