03/21/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Phoenix , AZ Brooke is a lean C/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, she presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. She uses her body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times showed a range of 1.96-2.07 with accuracy / carry (66 mph velocity) on her throws. In the OF, defensive abilities are excellent as she displays smooth / clean actions. She takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls and works to get behind and plays through with momentum to her target. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range increase as she improves foot quickness. At the plate, she shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (65 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. She will slap and makes consistent contact through an uphill swing path and will use the entire field. With 2 years to further develop, Brooke has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress her game.
