12/27/2013 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Brooke is a solid, athletic, junior first baseman with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, Brooke has an athletic fielding position with sure and clean hands. She has active and fluid footwork with playable range and sure feeds. By staying lower while fielding ground balls, Brooke will be able to move side to side quicker. Offensively, Brooke uses a square set up with a backwards load to make a positive move to the ball. Brooke maintains centered balance with fluid and smooth rhythm. She consistently makes hard contact and by adjusting her contact points and staying inside the ball, Brooke will be able to hit the ball to all sides of the field. Overall, Brooke is a great teammate and will continue to develop as a player.
08/13/2013 - College PREP - Elgin (Chicago), IL Brooke is an athletic 3B with a well-balanced skill set on both sides of the ball. Defensively, she has playable footwork, is improving glove work and has a strong accurate arm with carry through her target. She has a solid pre-pitch jab step, gets rid of the ball quickly and will benefit from playing lower, working from the ground up and leading with the glove when going side to side. At the plate, Brooke uses an open stance with an active load, a short stride and keeps her weight back before launching her hands to the ball. She gets her lower half through on time, can smoke the ball to the pull side and will better access the rest of the field as she sees the ball deeper into the hitting zone to improve point of contact.
