11/06/2014 - Softball Factory Hall of Fame Select Training Caleigh is a 2018 RHP with a solid skill set. On the mound, Caleigh has a good presence and is able to field her position well. She has a fluid and consistent rhythm with a full arm swing. Caliegh is not afraid to attack batters in the box and that makes her an asset on the mound. She does a nice job of locating her curve and screw ball and does a nice job of producing ground balls her defense. When Caleigh incorporates her lower half consistently she will see an increase in her speed. In the box, Caleigh has has an athletic, square set up with centered balance and a short stride. She has good rhythm and is a line drive hitter. Seeing the ball deeper into her hitting zone will allow her to see more power production. Over all Caleigh is a hard worker and with continued growth will have the opportunity to play at the next level.
12/27/2013 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Carleigh is a small, athletic right-handed pitcher that can also play outfield and contribute offensively. While on the mound, Carleigh has good control of her pitches with a very consistent screwball and curve ball. During game play, Carleigh produces many ground balls and knows how to get out of innings. She had a great performance during the final game of camp by focusing on her spins and location. By continuing to grow and develop more speed, Carleigh will be a very effective pitcher. Offensively, Carleigh uses a square setup with a short stride to make a positive move to the ball. She has a slightly uphill bat path and by leveling it out she will become a line drive hitter. By keeping her head on the ball and adding extension to her swing, Carleigh will become a more consistent hitter to all sides of the field. Overall, Carleigh is a young competitor that will continue to develop as a player.
