03/24/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Greensboro, NC Cara Wilson is a 2024 right-handed pitcher and second baseman with a developing skill set. In the circle, Cara has a calm presence and smooth mechanics. She stays on the powerline well throughout each pitch and keeps athletic balance. As she lengthens her stride and works on being more explosive off the rubber she will increase her speed. Cara's drop curve is her best pitch and she controls it well. At second base, she has active, effective footwork and gets low to the ground ball. She presents her glove well and absorbs the ball. She uses a quick arm action and release with her throws and is consistently accurate. By adding more momentum toward her target she will improve on her strength and take some pressure off her shoulder. Offensively, Cara has an athletic stance and uses a short stride. Her hips and hands work well together to contact. With even more body load before the pitch and weight transfer throughout the swing she will get added power. Cara does well to control the barrel and hit out in front. Overall, we are excited to see the hard work she will put in and continue to get better.
