01/17/2014 - Softball Factory Spring Training at Vero Beach Cassandra continues to evolve as a talented 2B. Defensively, she relies on a balanced skill set as she fields with smooth hands to make routine plays. Working on staying fluid with her footwork as she takes angles to various balls and playing down and through the ball will help her to improve fielding efficiency. Overall, she is a hard worker and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, Cassandra uses an athletic set up with good bat extension producing consistent contact to various fields of play. She shows good power and will benefit from an explosive lower half to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Cassandra shows good athleticism and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
10/13/2013 - College PREP - San Jose, CA Cassandra is an evolving 3B with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she fields using sure hands and moves well laterally. Working on staying down and through groundballs will help her to improve fielding efficiency. Overall, Cassandra is aggressive and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses a square set up with a back-wrap load and keeps her balanced centered before launching to the ball with a short swing. She shows potential for power and will benefit from driving the hands through the hitting zone to improve power on contact, ultimately, allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Cassandra has a good frame for the position at 5'4 and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
