01/15/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Cecilee continues to show as a prospect on the field. Behind the dish, she presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow her to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off of a soft chest. Pop times showed in the 1.95 with accuracy on her throws. At the plate she continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (57 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. She stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop.
09/04/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Frederick, MD Cecilee is an athletic catcher who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where she shows best, displaying solid hitting abilities with well above average power potential through a squared, athletic setup. Hands are quick (61 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with the ball jumping off the bat when centered. Behind the dish, she presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. She uses her body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner and improve her lateral movements. Pop times showed in the 2.23 range with accuracy on her throws. Times will continue to drop as she builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 5 years to further develop, Cecilee has a lot of potential with time and room to progress her game.
