12/17/2017 - College PREP - Madison (NYC), NJ Chelsea is a 2019 two-way player as a RHP/1B with a developing skill set. On the mound, Chelsea works to generate ground ball outs for her defense. She uses a three-pitch package and works to control the zone. Engaging her lower half will help her to see an increase in her velocity. At 1B, Chelsea has a good presence and makes the routine play. She reads the ball well and is able to pick balls in the dirt. She fields with firm hands and makes accurate throws to her target. Adding a pre-pitch approach will allow her play through the ball and gain ground to her target. In the box, Chelsea is a RHH that uses a square stance with centered balance and short stride. She makes consistent contact and shows line drive power. Extending through contact will allow her to see more gap production. Overall, Chelsea is a hard-working player and with continued exposure she will be able to take her game to the next level.
