She has great position presence and wants the ball no matter where she is at on the field. She hustles at any position she is playing. In the box, Christina has an exit velocity of 68MPH. She has good pitch selection and great composure in the box. One hop drills on defense and speed transfer drills will help Christina become a better well-rounded player. Overall, Christina has the skill set and tools to further improve her game.
01/15/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Christina’s hard work has earned her Softball Factory Rookie Pre Season All American honors. Our coaching staff enjoys every time Christina attends an event due to her work ethic and positive energy. During game play, Christina proved to be a tough for pitchers. She is able to work the count and get a pitch she can drive. She is a consistent line drive hitter that is also able to work the gaps. Behind the plate, Christina is a natural leader that gives her pitcher confidence. She does a nice job of staying low in her stance and frames the zone well. She reacts quickly to balls in the dirt and is able to keep them in front. Adding a throwing progression to her work outs will allow her to see more carry on her throws. Overall, Christina is a coachable player that will continue to have success on the field.
11/08/2019 - Softball Factory Select Training & Competition at Jackie Robinson Training Complex (Futures) Christina Franco is a 2025 third base and catcher who won Camp MVP. Christina brings energy to the field with her positive attitude and hustle. Behind the plate, she has a strong presence and receives quietly and relaxed. Her exchange is clean and her arm action is quick. Offensively, Christina is explosive with an on plane swing and hard contact. Overall, Christina has a developing skill set that will continue to improve with her hard work and dedication.
08/05/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Ashburn (DC), VA Christina is a 2025 right handed first baseman with third baseman with a developing skill set. Defensively, she fields out front and keeps the ball in front of her. She has good backhand foot work to the ball and soft hands when receiving the ball. She needs to work on her release point on her throws to her target. If she corrects her release point then she will start to produce more accuracy behind her throws to her target. Offensively, she has a square set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She stays fluid in her action to the ball and center in her balance. She swings hard every single time and makes hard contact in the gaps. Overall, Christina is slightly timid at times but works hard. If she continues to build up her confidence and keeps the solid work ethic she can do what it takes to play at the next level.
