11/19/2014 - Softball Factory Fall Classic Claire is a 2016 right-handed pitcher that is continuing to develop her skill set. On the mound, Claire has on time separation, fluid and free arm action, and extends through the release point. She has good mound presence and locates the ball well on both sides of the plate. She controls her pace on the mound and fields her position well. Offensively, Claire uses a square setup, active load, and small stride to drive to contact. She has a selective approach and maintains good balance throughout her swing. Claire takes an inside path to the ball and makes contact with a positive slight up angle in her barrel. She does a good job of generating power by keeping her hips and hands in sequence. Overall, Claire is a competitor that will continue to work to play at the next level.
12/27/2013 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Claire is an athletic sophomore right-handed pitcher that can play outfield and contribute offensively. On the mound, Claire has good control of her pitches with a fluid delivery. She has consistent tight spin on her screwball and uses it as a dominant pitch. By working on developing another pitch and using it effectively, Claire would become a more dominant pitcher. In the outfield, Claire has a square fielding position with active and efficient footwork. Claire has agile range, and by working on her first step and angles to the ball, Claire will become a quicker outfielder. Offensively, Claire uses a slightly closed stance with a backwards load to create a positive move to the ball. By keeping her hands higher and having a more explosive lower half, Claire will become a more powerful hitter. Overall, Claire is an athletic and hardworking athlete that will continue to develop as a player.
08/06/2013 - College PREP - Glen Allen (Richmond), VA Claire is a talented young RHP with long limbs and an atletic frame. In the Circle, she uses a full arm swing with backward hand position and has an athletic base through a slightly rushed delivery to a closed off position. Better direction to the plate will improve her finish as well as command and will allow her to better utilize the advanced arm speed that she currently displays. She is very athletic and has good mound presence with a good understanding of how to get hitters out. As a hitter, Claire has an open stance with a back load, a short stride and keeps her balance centered before launching her level swing through the zone. An aggressive hitter, she can spray the ball to all fields, gets out of the box well and applies coaching very quickly with a true willingness to improve. Overall, Claire has a lot of potential and should continue to work hard through a consistent drill package while remembering to be detailed in her preparation to ensure her development continues.
