09/22/2013 - College PREP - Detroit, MI Courtney is an evolving OF with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she fields with sure hands, uses her feet well and makes consistent throws. Working on staying down and through groundballs when fielding will help her to make more efficient plays. Overall, Courtney is an aggressive fielder with a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses a back load to help her generate power to all hitting fields. She shows good power and will benefit from a balanced set up and good bat extension to improve her point of contact, ultimately, allowing her to access the entire field consistently and effectively. Overall, Courtney has a good frame for the position at 5'5 and has solid athletic ability to aid in her continued development as a player.
