01/15/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Dara continues to show as a prospect on the field. At SS, she displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as she displays proper footwork as she works to square ground balls up and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry (61 mph velocity) to her target but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Range is a plus as she moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate she continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (68 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. She makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable, works hard to be the best player she can be, and is a team player.
01/08/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament Dara is an athletic SS prospect who showed well during the Pre-Season Prospects Tournament. In the field, Dara shows quick footwork and is agile moving to the ball. She gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft/sure hands. Her exchange is clean and she gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws with carry through her target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a soft stride. She is controlled getting into a small load and drives through well with her lower half. She works through a smooth swing with fast bat speed, producing loud contact to the opposite field. Overall, Dara is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.
09/15/2019 - College PREP - Henrico (Richmond), VA Dara is a 2023 shortstop and catcher with a strong skill set. Behind the plate, she has quick feet and gets over top of the ball well on her blocks. She frames each pitch in the zone and receives the ball with soft hands. She makes strong throws to bases and keeps her throws on line to her target. At shortstop, she has fluid footwork and works from the ground up. She moves well laterally and is agile in her range. She has great momentum through each play and fields the ball out in front. Offensively, she has a square stance and stays athletic in her set up. She keeps her barrel level through the zone and makes hard contact consistently. Overall, Dara hustles hard and has great work ethic.
