01/12/2018 - Softball Factory Spring Training at Historic Dodgertown Elaine is a 2020 catcher with a developing skill set. Behind the plate, she is fluid in her footwork and stays low and compact in her fielding position. She has soft hands when receiving the ball and has a clean exchange to bases. She stays steady in her balance and gets around the ball well on her blocking. Offensively, Elaine has a strong base in the box and uses her lower half well. She has an athletic set up and an on time stride in the box. She loads back well and is smooth in her rhythm. She stays center in her balance and is explosive with her bat. She makes hard and consistent contact and displays power behind her contact. Overall, Elaine displays athletic presence and has a great attitude. If she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to get her game to the next level.
