12/16/2018 - College PREP - Madison (NYC), NJ Elisa is a 2023 right handed catcher with a developing skill set. Behind the plate, she is fluid in her action but needs to work on staying low in her catching position. She makes accurate throws to her target and receives the ball well. She uses her body well to get over top of the ball when blocking and keeps the balls in front consistently. She creates backspin on her release and keeps her throws on line to bases. Offensively, she has a tall set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and stays center in her balance. She has fast hands through the zone and creates power in the gaps. Overall, Elisa is very coachable and if she continues to work hard, she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
