07/12/2018 - Advanced Training and Competition at the International Cup (Grad Years 2018-2022) Lily returns to Softball Factory for her first player development event. In the box, Lily shows good pitch recognition and has a middle of the field approach. She works to consistently put the ball in play and shows line drive power. At 2B, Lily has active footwork. She handles the routine play well and is able to make game time adjustments. Working to play through the ball will allow her to gain more momentum to her target. Overall, Lily is a coachable player and with continued hard work she will be able to take her game to the next level.
05/27/2018 - College PREP - Salem, OR Lily is a 2021 two-way player as a 2B/OF. In the box, Lily is a RHH that uses a square stance with a short stride and centered balance. She creates fluid rhythm with a back load. She creates explosive bat speed, makes hard contact and is able to hit to all fields. Lily extends through contact and shows gap-to-gap power. At 2B, Lily is an athletic player that is willing to get dirty to keep the ball in front. She fields with firm hands, makes a clean exchange and provide good feeds on the double play. Working on adding a pre-pitch approach will allow her to get a fluid first step and increase her range. In the OF, Lily handles the routine play well. She fields with sure hands and works to get the ball in quickly. Playing through the ball will allow her gain ground to her target and see more carry on her throws. Overall, Lily is a hard-working player and with continued coaching she will be able to take her game to the next level.
