11/07/2013 - Softball Factory Select Training at Vero Beach Emily returns to SF for another PD event as an evolving 2B and SS with a balance skill set. Defensively, she plays middle infield positions and understands the demands of both positions well. She fields with sure, firm glovework, uses quick, active footwork as she plays through balls and makes quick, accurate throws. Working on a a more fluid transfer will help her to improve rhythm and composure. Overall, Emily makes adjustments well and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player. At the plate, she uses an open set up with lo hands, a hitch load and short stride as she makes contact from the right side. She has a natural soft slap from the left side that makes her a force to reckon with as a hitter. She shows potential and will benefit from finessing her slapping skills to improve consistency and efficiency, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Emily has a great attitude and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
