12/27/2015 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Emily returns to Softball Factory to show she has been working hard to take her game to the next level. Since her last outing Emily showed improvements in her home to first times, arm strength and hitting. During game play Emily was aggressive at the plate each at bat. She makes solid and consistent contact allowing her to see line drive production. Working to accelerate thru contact will allow Emily to see more gap production at the plate. Defensively Emily is a sound player that handles the routine ball well. She hustles every play and shows good range. She has an accurate arm and does a nice job of challenging runners. Working on ladder drills will allow Emily to quicken her footwork. Overall Emily is an athletic player and with continued coaching and exposure she will have the opportunity to play at the collegiate level.
08/16/2015 - College PREP - Sioux Falls, SD Emily is a 2016 OF with a developing skill set. In the box Emily is a RHH that uses a square stance with good balance and on time rhythm. She works to take a direct route to the ball, generates good bat speed and makes consistent contact. She has a level bat angle and is a line drive hitter. Creating a weight transfer in her swing will allow Emily to engage her lower half and see an increase in her power production. In the OF Emily reads the ball off the bat well and works to keep the ball from finding the gaps. She presents her glove on time, fields with soft/sure hands and makes a clean exchange. She works to use the crow hop to gain momentum to her target and makes accurate throws. Taking a direct route to the fly ball and not drifting will allow Emily to cover more ground quickly. Overall Emily is a hard working player and with continued reps and exposure she will have the opportunity to take her game to the colligate level.
