06/03/2021 - Softball Factory College World Series - Prospects Select Training Emily is a 2023 right handed shortstop with a quick first step. At the Prospects Select Training in OKC, Emily showcased her range in the infield. She has an athletic ready position allowing her active footwork to get her to each hit ball quickly. She is able to work through the ball and take the proper angles. Emily has an over the top throwing arm with a clean glove-to-hand exchange. She keeps her hands out front in order to make the routine plays. In the box, Emily has natural power. She has a tall set up with comfortable hand position. She makes consistent contact with the ball. Overall, Emily possesses the skill set in order to train to become successful at the next level.
02/15/2021 - All-In Membership - Gambrills, MD Emily is an athletic SS who will graduate in 2023. At SS, she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as she works around balls but needs to play through with her body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. She moves well laterally with range improving as she increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, she shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (58 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as she utilizes her lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Emily has potential with time and room to progress her game.
